Starting Aug 18 & 19, Detours Planned for Routes 1 - Westnedge & 27 - Romence

To accommodate construction progress and to ensure the safety of passengers, two of Metro’s routes will be detoured over the weekend:

ROUTE 1 – WESTNEDGE **UPDATE 8/20/24:  Route & map updated due to construction at Whites Rd. **Westnedge Detour Starting Aug 18 Revised as of Aug 20

Sunday, August 18, route 1 – Westnedge (outbound) will not serve stops between W. Lovell St. & Hutchinson St.

From W. Lovell St:

  • Left onto Oak St.
  • Right onto Pioneer St.
  • Left onto Merrill St.
  • Left onto Howard St.
  • Right onto Bronson Blvd.
  • Left on Parker Ave.
  • Left on Duke St.
  • Right on Hutchinson St.

Resume regular routing on Westnedge Ave.

In addition to temporary stops added along Oak St., riders can access any pre-existing Metro stop along this route.

Inbound service is not impacted by this detour.

 

 

ROUTE 27 – ROMENCE

Monday, August 19 – Friday, August 30, repairs to the railroad necessitate the closing of Romence Pkwy from Portage Rd. to Sprinkle Rd.Route 27 - Romence Detour Map with Temporary Stop at Portage Rd. & Romence Pkwy. No service between Portage Rd. & Sprinkle Rd.

From Portage Rd.:

  • Left onto E. Centre Ave.
  • Left onto Sprinkle Rd.

Resume regular routing on Sprinkle Rd.

Stop 1060 will not be serviced during the detour. A temporary stop at Portage Rd & Romence Pkwy. will be available.
