Metro Addresses Portage Routes Service Rumors

A flyer is circulating claiming that Metro has made plans to discontinue routes 26 – West Centre and 27 – Romence in Portage.

    • There are no planned adjustments to these routes
      There are no changes set for May 2026 or in the near future. Metro’s focus is on examining routes to maximize efficient and effective service.
    • Public Feedback Survey Coming
      Routes are developed based on multiple factors, including public feedback. A Metro rider survey will be available in the next few days.
    • Metro Link & Metro Connect are options
      Metro is committed to providing riders with multiple transportation options to meet their travel needs. Our services do not replace each other; they are solutions for riders to use interchangeably.
